12 Days of Christmas Giveaway

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway

My 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways and sales continue.  I know that technically the 12 Days of Christmas doesn't start until Christmas but in the retail world, everything is ahead of schedule…

To qualify for the raffle (that's why you're here, right!), I'd like for you to answer a question.

So tell me…

Have you traveled using cloth?  If so, what were your essentials for successful cloth diapering while traveling?  If you haven't traveled using cloth diapers, what prevented you from doing so?  If you have yet to plan a trip with a kiddo in cloth diapers, do you have any reservations against using cloth diapers while on vacation, visiting family, etc.?

  1. We have always used cloth when we travelled. We've never had any problems at all. Multiple wet bags help tremendously and flushable liners are a must!

  2. I used disposables on a trip to Chicago because I did not have easy access to laundry the baby had a blowout and it went all the way up the front and all the way up the back so I will only use cloth from now on

  3. I used cloth while traveling until we got separated from our diaper stash on a return flight. We now travel with only disposables...
That being said, we had a road trip this summer where we used disposables for the four days of driving, but did cloth while we were "stationary."

  4. We have always used cloth when traveling, whether to grandparents or camping. Depending on where we are traveling to determines what our necessary cloth must haves are. When we go to grandparents, we just make sure we have plenty of diapers, the wet bag, and the laundry detergent that we know works for us. When we took cloth camping we had our camp/bucket washer and flats...had to go with the simplest to get clean.

I think to be successful with cloth while traveling you have to make sure you bring enough diapers. There is nothing worse than running out before you have a chance to wash them..I error on the side of too many diapers when traveling, mostly because we can't use disposable diapers at all.

  5. Honestly, I'd rather spend my trips home with my parents whom I never see than doing laundry. My mom uses fabric softener and other non-CD friendly detergents, and I've worked hard to find a good wash routine and don't want to ruin that. The last thing I want to do is come back from a week away and strip diapers. So we buy a pack of Pampers for the trip; all parties are happy.

  6. I have but only on short trips. You need a lot of diapers, wet bags, wipes, and disposable liners. I use sposies when on longer trip. Afraid of using a foreign washing machine and ruining my diapers.

  7. We use our diapers all the time especially when we travel. We use flushable liners and have a few wet bags. We travel with our laundry detergent as well.
